Job Summary:
Malaysia LNG (MLNG) is seeking a skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join its team in Bintulu on a full-time basis. The role involves managing scheduling activities using Primavera P6, with a focus on turnaround/shutdown planning in an onshore petrochemical environment. This is a 1-year renewable contract, starting in January or February 2025. Preference will be given to Sarawakian or Malaysian candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed schedules for turnaround/shutdown projects using Primavera P6.
- Update and adjust project schedules promptly to accommodate operational changes and priorities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate scheduling risks, ensuring adherence to project deadlines.
- Review contractor schedules and progress reports, ensuring compliance with MLNG’s requirements.
- Support project planning, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
- Collaborate with onshore petrochemical plant operations teams for effective turnaround execution.
- Generate detailed planning reports and ensure timely communication of schedule updates.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5 to 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling, with at least 3 years of proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Proven expertise in turnaround/shutdown planning within the onshore petrochemical or oil & gas industry.
- Strong understanding of scheduling principles, critical path analysis, and resource leveling.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands with immediate action.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
- Preferably Sarawakian or Malaysian nationality.
- Willing to be based full-time in Bintulu, at MLNG’s oil & gas plant.
