Responsibilities:-
• Responsible for preparation/review/checking/approving of Electrical engineering discipline deliverables as per project
requirements.
• Review and approve electrical system studies modelled in ETAP and other similar software such as Short circuit study,
Load flow study, Motor starting study, Harmonic study, Relay coordination study, etc.
• Interfacing/Coordinating activities and meeting with Project team, Client, Contractor, Vendors and subcontractors.
• Ability to prepare presentation material and conduct meetings with Clients for electrical engineering related matters.
• Monitoring quality, cost, time and performance of the work in accordance with contractual requirement, project/company
standards and procedures.
• Attending and participating in project HAZID, HAZOP and ELSOR (Electrical Safety and Reliability Study) workshops and
responding to queries accordingly as well as updating relevant deliverables based on recommendations proposed.
• Preparing/checking of Calculations, Datasheets, Studies for Electrical Equipment including Motors, Transformers,
Switchgears, UPS, Charger, etc as well as generating Load List, Single Line / Block Diagrams, Earthing/Lightning/Cable
Routing Layouts drawings, Cable Schedule/MTO, etc.
• Possess good understanding of international design codes and standards.
• Preparation of RFQ, Material Requisition, Technical Clarification and TBE.
• Review and comment on vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data in design deliverables.
• Coordination with other disciplines including civil/structure, piping, mechanical, instrumentation, process for improving
project execution.
• Ability to carry out site visit/survey and collect required details to prepare detail engineering deliverables and to highlight
possible issues during project design.
• Coordinate with project construction team during construction stage.
• Ability to provide engineering manhours and support Proposal Manager in preparing bid submissions.
Requirement:-
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in Onshore Refinery/ Petrochemical/ Oil Terminals/ Process & Oleochemical
plants/ General Industry with engineering design experience.
• Good understanding of project requirements in above-mentioned industries, in particular safety, schedule and quality
aspects.
• Must be registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), with PEPC.
• Self-driven, highly motivated and able to work independently in carrying out given tasks with minimum supervision.
• Responsible and committed towards safe-guarding Company interests in the execution of project duties.
• Experienced in handling designing greenfield, rejuvenation and revamp project.
• Team player who works well with and supports fellow project members in a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Good command of spoken and written English and familiar with MS Office software.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff within the organization as well as with Clients, Vendors
and Contractor.
• Ability to train, provide guidance and manage junior engineers.
