A dedicated Geologist Specialist with expertise in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) to join our team of professionals driving innovation in sustainable energy solutions. This role is crucial in identifying, characterizing, reservoir modelling, and monitoring subsurface formations suitable for long-term CO2 storage, ensuring both environmental safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and identify potential CO2 storage sites, focusing on their geological and petrophysical properties

2. Detailed assessment of caprock integrity, porosity, permeability and storage capacity

3. Build, refine and update 3D static geological models integrating seismic, well-logs and core data. Analyse depositional environments, fault system and stratigraphic relationships to ensure reservoir suitability

4. Assess risk such as fault reactivation, induced seismicity and potential leakage pathways

5. Collaborate with Reserve Engineer to design CO2 injection strategies, generate optimised Storage Development Plan and detailed MMV framework

6. Support overall containment risk assessment

Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline. PhD is a plus. Certification in CCS-specific programs is a plus.

2. Minimum 15 years of working experiences with last 3 years in CCS or CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)

3. Proven expertise in geological modelling software (Petrel or Geology Designer)

4. Expertise in seismic interpretation, well log analysis and core data evaluation

5. Familiar with geomechanical and geochemical processes related to CO2 storage
