Description of Function

We are searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Tanzania for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project. The role involves coordinating the inspection of the pipeline, overseeing commissioning activities, and proofreading reports. This is a fixed-term position lasting 2 years, based in Tanzania.

Mission

As the Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Pipeline Inspection Coordination: Organize and manage inspection activities to ensure the pipeline meets all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Commissioning Oversight: Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring all systems and components of the pipeline are tested and operational according to project specifications.
  • Report Proofreading: Review and proofread reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure clear communication and coordination throughout the project.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring all team members are aligned with project goals and working effectively.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in project management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of pipeline inspection and commissioning processes.
  • Strong report writing and proofreading skills.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
