Lead and manage process engineering deliverables including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process datasheets, and equipment specifications for LNG facilities.
Conduct process simulations using software tools such as Aspen HYSYS or similar to ensure optimal process performance and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams comprising mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineers to integrate process design with overall plant design.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases.
Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP and SIL studies, and contribute to the resolution of identified issues.
Support procurement activities by preparing technical bid evaluations, reviewing vendor documents, and providing technical support during vendor interactions.
Provide technical oversight during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases to ensure successful project implementation and handover.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
5 to 10 years of experience in process engineering, with specific exposure to LNG projects within onshore refineries.
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) and familiarity with engineering design tools.
Strong understanding of LNG processing technologies, including liquefaction processes and associated equipment.
Knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to LNG facilities (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Willingness to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the duration of the assignment, if not already based there.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while ensuring quality and safety in project deliverables.
